30-year-old British singer-songwriter has been wearing out London stages for a while now, supporting the likes of The Magic Numbers, Snow Patrol and the dear departed Amy Winehouse, and lately headlining his own gigs.

Imagine the laid-back melodies of Rufus Wainwright blended with the lyrical subtleties of Nick Drake, and you’ll have a rough idea of the Humphrey sound. He delivers them in an effortless manner on piano and guitar, while the dab-hand of the Mercury-prize nominee Ed Harcourt – who produced this EP and forthcoming album – also help it along.
