The Carpel's ambition is to be at the forefront of modern cutting edge pop music with songs that have indie, punk, dubstep & electronic music running through them.

Picking up an inspired lead on pop from Talking Heads, LCD Soundsystem, Late of the Pier and The Fall this Birmingham band are set for a very exciting year after they were recognised by BBC Introducing and given a live radio session earlier this year.
The bands first recordings will appear as singles during 2011 - all 3 are classic indie anthems! They were produced at Big Mushroom Studios in Cheshire by Jim Spencer who also worked with New Order, The Charlatans, The Cribs, Doves and Shaun Ryder.
Their song "Sand" is available on the This Feeling website as a FREE download and the next single, "Handshakes" will be released on 22nd August 2011 on One Beat Records via EMI and available at all the usual download sites.
